“Not an addict like Tomas then.” Donovan sat down opposite Ethan and studied him for a moment. His eyes were an interesting shade of grey, too light to be brown but there was no missing the intelligence and sharp wit reflected in them. The gaze belied the man, and was serious enough that Ethan felt a shiver go down his spine in response to it.
“He’s never managed to convince me to join the dark side,” Ethan said, “although it wasn’t for lack of trying.”
